Freeze Columns in Table View

Column freeze lets you pin one or more columns in Table View of Issue History for Jira app so they stay visible while you scroll horizontally. This makes large tables easier to read and helps you keep key information (like work item keys, summaries, or assignees) in view at all times.

This feature is especially useful when working with wide datasets, reports, or audit-style tables where context matters.

Why Use Freeze Columns

When tables grow wide, important context is often lost during horizontal scrolling. Freezing the columns solves this by keeping selected columns fixed in place.

Benefits:

  • Keep key fields visible while scrolling

  • Read and compare large tables faster

  • Reduce mistakes caused by losing context

  • Improve usability for reporting and audits

How It Works

You can freeze one or more columns directly from the Table View interface.

  • Frozen columns stay fixed on the left side of the table

  • The rest of the table scrolls horizontally as usual

  • You can change or remove frozen columns at any time

How to Freeze Columns

  1. Open Table View.

  2. Locate the column you want to freeze.
