Migrating Smart Forms from Jira Data Center to Jira Cloud
If you’re moving from Jira Data Center (DC) to Jira Cloud, this guide explains how Smart Forms data is migrated, what is included, and how to validate everything after the move.
Migration is carried out using the Jira Cloud Migration Assistant (JCMA) - an app designed to support data migration from Jira Data Center to Jira Cloud.
Atlassian has already stopped selling new Data Center licenses (since March 30, 2026), and by March 28, 2029, all Data Center instances will become read-only. More details you can find on Atlassian Migration Hub

Before you start, choose the stage you’re currently at:
JCMA not installed - install & start migration
Choose this option if Jira Cloud Migration Assistant is not installed yet.
This guide will walk you through installation and setup before migration.
JCMA already installed - start migration
Choose this option if you already have Jira Cloud Migration Assistant installed on your Data Center instance.
You can start migration immediately.
