Track SLA time in real time, notify teams before goals are exceeded, automate SLA-related actions, and analyze performance with built-in reports for Jira Software, Jira Core, and Jira Service Management.
About app
SLA Time and Report is an app for Jira developed by SaaSJet, a Platinum Atlassian Marketplace Partner. The app adds SLA and OLA tracking to existing Jira workflows. Teams can define when SLA time starts, pauses, stops, or resets, set time goals, configure working schedules, receive notifications, automate actions, and review results in reports.
The core idea
Jira shows how work items move through a workflow. SLA Time and Report uses the conditions, goals, and schedules you configure to calculate how much SLA time has passed and whether the selected target has been met. Users can view SLA progress directly on Jira work items, while team leads and managers can analyze the same data through tables, charts, exports, and dashboard gadgets.
:time: SLA timers on every work item
View remaining or elapsed SLA time directly in the Jira work item panel. The timer reflects the configured SLA conditions, goal, and work schedule, helping users understand which work items are approaching their targets. |
:alert: Notifications and automated actions
Configure notifications to alert selected users or groups before an SLA goal is exceeded.
|
:report: Built-in SLA reporting
The app provides an SLA Grid report, SLA status charts, Met vs Exceeded reports, performance comparisons, breakdowns by selected criteria, exports, scheduled reports, and dashboard gadgets. |
:settings: Flexible SLA configuration
Configure SLA tracking according to the way work moves through your Jira workflow. Define Start, Pause, Stop, and Reset conditions, enable Multi-cycle tracking, and set working hours, breaks, time zones, and holidays. |
Why choose SLA Time and Report?
Before touching a single setting – here's what makes SLA Time and Report different
from tracking service commitments manually or relying on native Jira fields.
Think of it as an SLA layer for Jira
Your work continues in the existing Jira workflow. SLA Time and Report monitors configured work items, applies the selected SLA conditions and goals, and displays the calculated results on work items, in reports, and on Jira dashboards.
SLA visibility where work actually happens
Agents and other users with access to the work item can see remaining or elapsed SLA time without switching to the reporting page. This helps teams identify work items that require attention during their normal Jira workflow.
Less manual SLA reporting
Replace manual exports and formula-driven sheets with live SLA Grid reports, Met vs Exceeded charts, and scheduled deliveries straight to your inbox. Teams spend less time rebuilding reports and more time improving the process behind the numbers.
SLA logic that matches your real workflow
Configure Start, Pause, Stop, Reset, and Multi-cycle conditions to reflect exactly how work items move through your Jira workflow – not a simplified approximation. Add SLA goals by priority, work item type, service, or any custom field.
React before breach
Notify selected users or groups before an SLA goal is exceeded so they have time to review the work item. For exceeded goals, configure actions such as adding a comment, changing the assignee, priority, or status, or sending a Slack notification.
Accurate SLA for global and distributed teams
Create work schedules that reflect actual working hours, time zones, breaks, weekends, and holidays. The Advanced plan adds per-assignee multi-calendar logic so SLA time always reflects the right regional schedule. No false breaches from counting overnight hours or public holidays.

Who is it for?
Every role gets the SLA view they need – without moving work outside Jira. The app is
built for any team that manages deadlines, provides service, or delivers within time
commitments.
The app works for Jira Software, Jira Core, and Jira Service Management — including Classic and Nextgen (team-managed) projects. It counts SLA time for JSM work items but does not replace JSM's native SLA
configuration.
