Smart Forms for Jira – Data Center is designed with data privacy and security in mind. The app operates fully within your self-managed Jira environment and does not store, process, or transmit any form data outside of your infrastructure.

✅ No External Data Storage

  • All form configurations and submission data are stored exclusively in your Jira database.

  • We do not collect, replicate, or transmit any form data to external servers or third-party services.

Where Smart Forms Stores Data in Jira Data Center

Smart Forms for Jira (Data Center) does not use any external database or third-party storage. All data — including form definitions, templates, and responses — is stored natively inside your Jira instance.

🔹 Data Storage Mechanism

  • Forms and templates are stored as JSON objects in your own database.

  • Form submissions are saved within Jira and associated with the relevant issue, ensuring tight integration and full control.

  • No external data services, middleware, or cloud storage are used or accessed by the app.

🔹 Access and Retrieval

  • All access is performed using Jira’s native APIs

  • Form data is retrieved, rendered, and saved via secure calls within your Jira environment.

🔒 Access Controlled by Jira Permissions

  • Access to forms and form responses is fully governed by Jira project and issue-level permissions.

  • Only users with appropriate permissions can view, fill out, or manage forms.

🏗️ Self-Hosted Architecture

  • The app runs entirely within your Jira Data Center instance.

  • There is no outbound data flow initiated by the app.

  • You maintain full control over your environment and infrastructure security.

📁 Data Export & Audit

  • Form responses are saved inside Jira issues and can be exported to Excel (XLSX) or PDF by authorized users.

  • All actions occur inside Jira—making it easy to manage audit logs and comply with internal policies.
