Issues Field Configuration

If Jira fields are required but not mapped in Create Issue settings or lack default values, the add-on cannot generate issues.

⚠️ Common Warning

"Please edit the task fields configuration" means Smart Forms cannot create issues because your project has unmapped required fields.

🛠️ Solution Steps

1️⃣ Access Field Configuration

1. Go to Jira Settings → Issues

2. In right panel, select Fields → Field Configurations

2️⃣ Find Your Project Configuration

1. Locate the Field Configuration used by your target project

2. Usually named "Default Field Configuration"

3. Click Configure button

3️⃣ Update Required Fields

1. Find fields marked as Required

2. Change them to Optional (e.g., Components → Optional)

3. Save changes
