🚀 Get Started: Chrome Extension for Capture for monday.com

To fully unlock the power of Capture for monday.com, you’ll need to install our Chrome extension. It lets you:

  • 🖼️ Take annotated screenshots

  • 🎥 Record your screen with one click

  • 📌 Instantly create monday tasks from your visuals


🧩 Install the Chrome Extension

  1. Go to the Chrome Web Store.

  2. Type "Capture for monday.com" in the search bar.
    (Or use this direct link if available.)

  3. Click the “Add to Chrome” button.

  4. Once installed, the app icon will appear in your browser's extensions panel.

👉 Don’t forget to pin the extension for quick access!


🔐 Connect the Extension to monday.com

You have two options for logging in:

Option 1: Authorize with monday Login (recommended)

  1. Click on the Capture for monday.com icon in your browser.

  2. Press the "Authorize monday" button.

  3. Choose your monday account.

  4. Done! You’re ready to capture, annotate, and create tasks visually.

This method uses cookies to speed up the login process. All data stays secure and inside monday.


Option 2: Log in with API Token (advanced)

If the standard login doesn’t work for you, you can connect via API token:

  1. Go to monday API Token Page.

  2. Click “Generate API token”.

  3. Name your token and press “Create”.

  4. Copy the token using the “Copy” button.

Now return to the extension:

  • Enter your monday workspace URL

  • Paste the API token

  • Click “Log in”

You’re all set!


✅ Final Step: Install the monday App

To complete the setup, make sure you’ve also installed the Capture for monday.com app from the monday marketplace.

This ensures smooth syncing between your captures and your monday boards.
