📝 Creating a Task with Capture for monday.com
Creating a task in monday has never been this fast (or visual). Whether you're logging a bug, giving product feedback, or sharing a customer issue — Capture for monday.com makes it a one-click action.
🔹 1. Open the Extension
Click the Capture for monday.com icon in your browser toolbar.
A familiar task window will pop up — just like inside monday.
You’ll be asked to choose:
Template - Choose or create one
Workspace – Where the board lives
Board – The destination board (e.g. QA, Support, Design)
Group – The section within the board (like “Bugs”, “To Do”)
Item name – A short title for your task
Update – Add context, steps to reproduce, or feedback text
Reporter – Who is responsible for the task
Status – Current state of the task
Select other Columns to Fill – Deadline, Priority or any other Columns
Everything syncs directly to your monday workspace.

💾 3. Restore an Unfinished Task
Got distracted before you clicked “Create”? No worries.
The extension automatically saves your draft.
Next time you open it, click the 🔔 notification icon in the top-right corner — and restore your last filled-in task.
🔁 Bonus: “Create Similar” Mode
Creating a series of tasks?
Just check the Create similar box — and the app will remember your last-used workspace, board, and group.
