How Time in Status Works After Migrating to Jira Cloud
The Time in Status app does not store any of your data. Instead, when you generate a report, the app pulls historical changelogs directly from Jira and calculates the values in real-time.
As long as your task history is fully and correctly migrated from Jira Data Center to Jira Cloud, your reports will be accurate and complete.
What You'll Need to Set Up Manually After Migration
After migrating to Jira Cloud, a few settings won't carry over automatically. Here’s what you’ll need to reconfigure:
Work Schedules – Set these up again to ensure accurate time in status tracking.
Permissions – Review and adjust user access to match your needs.
Custom Presets – Users should manually recreate any saved configurations they previously created in the Save & Load section on the app’s main page.
Dashboard Gadgets – Reconfigure any Time in Status gadgets on your Jira Dashboard.
