Share form externally

Share your form with people outside Jira through a simple link. Candidates can submit details during hiring, sales can collect partner inputs, customers can send feedback — all without a Jira license. One link takes unlimited responses, with no time limit, and the form doesn't have to be tied to a work item of Jira field schemes. Share it like a Google Form, but every submission can flow straight into Jira.

How it works

① Generate a public link → in a form's Settings tab, click Share form to create a public URL.
② Choose who can open it → Anyone with the link or Verified in your Jira instance.
③ Share it anywhere → send the link directly, or embed it on a website or Confluence page.
④ Responses flow into Jira → each submission is stored, and can create a new work item with mapped fields.

Access control

🛡 Automatic security adjustment. Forms containing a User Picker field automatically switch to Verified in your Jira instance, so your Jira user list is never exposed on a public form.

⚠️ Embedding needs open access. Forms with Restricted access can't be embedded on external sites or Confluence pages — those require a Jira login, which an iframe can't do. For any embedded form, set access to Anyone with the link.

CAPTCHA for public forms

Protect public forms from bots and spam. When a form is shared with Anyone with the link, enable CAPTCHA so only human submitters get through.

How to turn it on

1. Set form access to Anyone with the link.

2. Check Enable CAPTCHA verification.

3. Share the URL with the people who should fill it out — they'll complete the CAPTCHA before submitting.

Keep in mind

• ⏰ Time limit — CAPTCHA expires after 15 minutes for security.

• 🌐 Access level — only for Anyone with the link.
