Manual migration path
To migrate Issue History for Jira from Jira Data Center to Jira Cloud, transfer all selected projects and issues, ensuring that comments, history, and fields are included in the migration.
Once the migration is complete, you must manually configure Issue History for Jira settings in Jira Cloud. This guide provides step-by-step instructions for migrating Issue History for Jira from the Data Center to Cloud.
Prerequisites
Before starting the migration process, ensure you have:
Administrator access to both Jira Data Center and Jira Cloud.
Issue History for Jira installed on your Jira Cloud instance.
A backup of your Jira Data Center instance.
A list of Issue History configurations that need to be migrated.
What to store – create new before the migration:
Presets (Saved View configurations).
Report Scheduler settings.
Permissions settings.
Main Table View: Save Presets, Table Columns, Additional Options Activation
Open Presets (Saved View).

Choose Update the View.

Check the View settings to see if they are visible only to you or everyone in your organization.

Check all available columns, filtering conditions, and sort order. Remember the exact column positions in the Table View. The funnel icon will be filled if a filter is active, like in the example below.

Note: Make sure the Keep deleted issues option is activated.

If you have enabled additional options like Tracking comment changes, review their settings.


Report Scheduler
Open Presets (Saved View) and select all available Report scheduler configurations. This option is visible in Table View.
Note: A blue dot icon will be visible if the Report scheduler is active.

Check the current Report scheduler configurations.

Do the same actions for all active Report scheduler configurations.
Activity View
Check the Activity view configuration, including filter settings, field filters, and sorting order.

Access Management (Permissions)
Check which permissions are enabled.

Check the groups that have been granted access.
