Never Miss a Task Again - How SLA Management Can Save Your Marketing Workflow
Ever wondered how SLA management can help you keep track of every marketing task without missing a single deadline?
If you’re a marketer, you’ve probably been there – your week is packed with tasks, deadlines are everywhere, and you’re switching from one thing to another at lightning speed because they’re all competing for your attention. Some are quick wins, others are long-term projects, and a few are so important you simply cannot afford to forget them.
That’s exactly why we love the SLA management feature in Time in Status for monday.com. Let’s look at a quick example of how it works in real life.

Your Task Board – The Starting Point
First things first – to use this feature, you’ll need to install our Time in Status app from the monday.com marketplace. Once it’s installed, create or open the Time in Status board. This is where all the magic happens – you’ll see your tasks, statuses, and all the SLA tracking in one place.
On our example status analytics monday.com board, you’ll see typical tasks, and each has its own priority – High, Medium, Low, and Critical.
While it looks tidy, it’s still easy to overlook a top-priority item, especially during busy weeks.
Setting SLAs That Match Priority Levels

Now that you’ve installed Time in Status and opened your board, let’s set up SLAs, so the system automatically tells you what’s urgent and what can wait.
Here’s how you can configure them by priority, for example:
Low priority → Submit by the end of the week (1 day buffer)
Ideal for minor updates or tasks that don’t affect ongoing campaigns immediately. You can leave these for later in the week without pressure.Medium priority → Must be ready by the 21st (8 hours)
Important but not critical – things like preparing a social media post or updating some text on a landing page. You still have time to get them done within the day.High priority → Must be ready by the 20th (6 hours)
These can directly impact deadlines or campaign launches — for example, approving a banner or setting up an ad group. They should be handled the same day.Critical → Prioritize as the first task (within 1 minute!)
The absolute must-do items. As soon as a task is created with Critical status, it will light up red on your board so you can’t miss it. This could be an urgent press release or a last-minute change to a live campaign.
With these rules in place, your board becomes a real-time processing time tracker that visually shows exactly where your attention is needed most.

Time in Status View – Managing Time Without Guesswork
Once SLAs are in place, the board shows exactly how long each task has been in its status.
Red highlights warn you when something is overdue.
Green means you’re still in the safe zone.
You can see at a glance what’s most urgent and what can wait.
This makes it so much easier to manage your day: you focus first on the Critical red tasks, then move to High, then Medium, and finally Low.
